Nancy Gachoka
Nancy Gachoka is the Co-Founder of Gender Sensitive Initiative (GSI) and is an experienced consultant to community-based organizations in Kenya , using participatory methods to build the capacity for grassroot community groups since 1991. In 2006, Nancy linked trained community groups under a society Kenya Federation of Self-Help Associations (KEFSHA) to strengthen impact and deepen collaboration to effect change by engaging government, policy makers, and other key stakeholders. KEFSHA & GSI, by understanding the local systems, and leveraging their powerful advocacy network, have been successful in developing community solutions to community challenges, including tobacco control. Nancy has an MBA on Global Social Entrepreneurship and Sustainability from Catholic University of Milan, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Sustainable Systems in Development.
